e-mail message to either Sue Sheppard (Membership Assistant) at
ssheppard@wsu.edu or Tom Hungate at hungate@wsu.edu
How to Become a Member
You can call 1-800-922-4220 and pledge to become a supporting member of KWSU
& KTNW public television. You decide the amount you would like to
contribute. You can also mail a check to:
KWSU & KTNW
PO Box642530
Pullman WA 99164-2530
Membership Problems
Let us know right away if we've made a mistake regarding your membership: a
misspelled name, wrong address, duplicate mailing or billing error. It helps
speed up the process if you send us the mailing label. If it's a billing error,
include a copy of your statement and an explanation of the problem. Or, call
and give your name, address and membership number as it appears on your label.
We'll take care of the problem as soon as we hear from you!
Our Mailing List
KWSU & KTNW does not sell or exchange its mailing list. We may, however,
purchase mailing lists from other sources in a continuing effort to bring in
new members. Sometimes duplications do slip through, so please forgive us if
this happens to you, and disregard any further duplication notices.
Thank You Gifts
The KWSU & KTNW membership office mails all thank you gifts. You must pay
your pledge in full before any gift will be mailed. Occasionally we will run
out of a particular item. In most cases we will re-order it, but this does
cause a delay. Sometimes, a re-order is not possible, so we will contact you to
see if a substitute gift can be arranged.
Gifts are just one of the ways we thank you for your support. Programs are what
your dollars really buy. It is our policy not to sell current gifts because
such sales decrease the value of the gifts to our members. For more
information, give us a call!
Tax Deductions
If you itemize on your federal tax returns, your membership pledge or other
donation to KWSU & KTNW is tax deductible to the full extent of the tax
code. You will receive a receipt from the Washington State University
foundation acknowledging your contribution. IRS regulations now require that we
send you a statement which shows the fair market value of any gifts we send
you. In many cases, this is far more than KWSU & KTNW actually pays for the
gift, but the regulations require that we calculate the "fair market" value. We
send this information directly to you -- we are not required to report
contributions to the IRS.
Studio Tours
We are always pleased when members and local groups come by for a tour of the
studios. To book a tour, please call and we'll be glad to set it up.
Copies of Programs
While we cannot provide copies of most network television programs (since we
don't own the rights), you can often obtain transcripts and/or copies of
programs by contacting the specific program. You can contact KWSU & KTNW at
nwptv@wsu.edu or phone 800-922-4220 to obtain the name of the
organization which owns the right of the program you are interested in.
