The Vespers
Absolutely one of "alternative Nashville's" biggest buzz bands, the Vespers feature sisters Callie and Phoebe Cryar and brothers Bruno and Taylor Jones. Their hard-to-pin-down sound leads to a fresh and dynamic mixture of folk, rock and Appalachian stomp, a place where banjos battle drums and fuzz-toned guitars shred mountain ballads, all held together by the Cryar sisters' saintly/sinful harmonies. The Huffington Post's Michael Bialas recently dubbed them "... four of a promising kind."

The Del McCoury Band
Band patriarch Del McCoury has impeccable traditional credentials, including an early-'60s stint with Bill Monroe, the Father of Bluegrass, a 2010 National Heritage Fellowship and 2011 induction into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. But the Grammy-winning singer/guitarist who personifies the "High Lonesome" sound also takes it to new frontiers playing with everyone from jam band Phish to the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. McCoury's band features sons Ronnie (mandolin) and Rob (banjo), with fiddler Jason Carter and bassist Alan Bartram. As opry.com put it, McCoury has "proven not to be a relic of bluegrass music's past, but an architect of its future."

Vince Gill
A Country Music Hall of Famer and 20-time Grammy winner, Gill has recently been sharing the stage with Eric Clapton, Sting and James Taylor. Known for his razor-sharp instrumental skills, his expressive tenor voice, his richly varied songwriting and his superb choice of backup musicians, Gill delivers everything from heartfelt honky tonk ballads to hot bluegrass to full-throttle country rock, all leavened with an easygoing sense of humor that makes a Vince Gill show feel like you're just hanging out with on old friend. This is as good as country music gets.
