Knitwear Trends
Be fashion-forward with knitwear this season as today's show looks at popular trends, like ruffles and plaids, and the new fashion yarns. Eunny opens the show with a tutorial on creating plaids in knitwear using stitches like slip-stitch plaids and plaids through woven knitting. Next, Barry Klein and Laura Bryant demonstrate ruffled scarves and the new style of yarns that helps create ruffled results with very little work. Then, we're back with Kristin and Marcy to continue the Chain Reaction Afghan. This week is the Tunisian crochet square in the afghan. Learn basic and advanced Tunisian stitches, as well as how to make a Tunisian cable. Eunny wraps up with a quick tip on knitting loops, fringes, and other fun embellishments.

Shape Up
Learn to shape up knitting with short rows. First, Eunny offers knitters a basic tutorial on short rows, with samples of how to translate standard shaping into short-rows for perfectly smooth lines. Then, Barry Klein and Laura Bryant demonstrate using short rows, and a few other simple techniques, to create knitted ruffles in fabric. Next, is the afghan crochet-along with Kristin and Marcy. They work tapestry crochet in the round with the beautiful heart square from the Chain Reaction Afghan. Marcy will demonstrate a unique technique for left-handed reverse crochet while working tapestry crochet flat. Last, Eunny shares her tips and tricks for keeping track of knitting with ring markers, stitch markers or other notions.
